The All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference “Current issues of pediatrics” – XXIII Sidelnikov readings dedicated to the memory of the corresponding member of the NAS, NAMS of Ukraine, Professor Victor Mikhailovich Sidelnikov,  took a place on September 15-17, 2021. The conference was held online (Kyiv).
This year’s conference brought together more than 1,000 pediatricians and family physicians, other pediatricians, health care providers, educators and scientists. It presented the pediatric departments of leading institutions of higher education of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and academies of postgraduate medical education, SI “Institute of Pediatrics of Obstetrics and Gynecology named after Academician OM Lukyanova National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine “and others.
The participants of the conference especially noted the current difficulties in providing medical care related to the COVID-19 pandemic and the peculiarities of pre- and postgraduate education of doctors in these conditions.
In total, 91 oral scientific reports were heard during 6 plenary sessions. The issues of clinical course, treatment and prevention of COVID-19 in children were discussed; age aspects of postcoccal syndrome; complex clinical cases in children; immunoprophylaxis as a priority for pediatricians and family physicians; upper and lower respiratory tract infections in children; discussion issues of digestive pathology in children; preventive and therapeutic strategies in modern pediatric allergology; outpatient and inpatient aspects of antibiotic therapy in children; inhibition of antibiotic resistance growth; prevention of polypragmatism in pediatrics; interdisciplinary aspects of medical care for children.

XXII All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference, dedicated to the memory of the corresponding member of the NAS, AMS of Ukraine Professor V.M. Sidelnikov,  took place on September 16-17.
This year’s conference took place online and it was first experience in this format.
On-line format was choosing because now we have pandemic  COVID-9, and one of the main principles of the organizers is provide the safety for every participant.
The following issues has considered at the conference:

- Issues of clinical course, treatment and prevention of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
- The state of health of children in Ukraine and current challenges to childhood medicine.
- Vaccine prophylaxis as a priority of a pediatrician and family doctor.
- Problem-oriented approach in pediatrics: interdisciplinary integration.
- Evidence-based medicine in providing medical care to children of different ages.
- The role of clinical genetics in pediatrics.
- Infections of the upper and lower respiratory tract in children: current guidelines.
- Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive system in children.
- Preventive and therapeutic strategies in modern pediatric allergology.
- Outpatient and inpatient aspects of antimicrobial therapy in children.
- Practical ways to inhibit the growth of antibiotic resistance.
- Phytotherapy: the focus is on evidence and international experience.
- Prevention of polypragmatism in the provision of medical care to children.
- Interdisciplinary aspects of pediatric neurology and others

The event was attended over than one thousand doctors, the number of views of the conference in the record exceeded eighteen and a half thousand.

September 19-21, 2018, the jubilee All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference “Actual issues of pediatrics” was held in Kharkiv – XX Sidelnikov’s readings, traditionally dedicated to  the memory of Corresponding  Member of  the National Academy of Sciences, Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Professor Victor Mikhailovich Sidelnikov.

The conference brought together more than 1,500 children’s and family doctors in Ukraine. During the conference, plenary and sectional sessions were held, at which scientific reports from leading pediatricians were presented on topical issues in the organization of pediatric healthcare, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of the most common infectious and non-infectious pathology of childhood, immunoprophylaxis, and rational pharmacotherapy based on principles of evidence-based medicine. The reports of the heads of pediatric pediatric support departments on the work done during the reporting period were heard.
