Scientific and practical conference with international participation “Difficult patient in pediatrician practice”

Pediatricians’ Forum – a powerful intellectual space for change.
On May 30-31, a scientific and practical conference with international participation, “Difficult Patient in Pediatrician Practice,” was held in Kyiv, which brought together more than 5,000 doctors from all over Ukraine. The event was held in a mixed format, which allowed specialists to participate both in person and online.
The organizer is the Department of Pediatrics of Postgraduate Education of the Bogomolets National Medical University, with the participation of scientists from Ukraine and Edinburgh (Scotland).
The goal of the conference is the practical implementation of scientific achievements in the daily clinical activities of pediatricians in the face of new challenges.
The focus of the reports was in particular:
• Multidisciplinary approach to the complex pediatric patient
• Rapid growth of antibiotic resistance and insidiousness of pathogens of childhood infections
• The importance of prevention and the role of rational empirical therapy
• Mental health of children and adolescents
• Medical care for children in war conditions
We are sincerely grateful to the organizers for the high level of discussion, exchange of experience and professionalism. Our common task is to preserve the health of Ukrainian children.
