Innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases – a conference in Transcarpathia

On June 19-21, 2025, a visiting conference of the Ukrainian Thyroid Association was held in a picturesque corner of Transcarpathia, which brought together endocrinologists to discuss new challenges in the field of thyroid pathology. The event was held in a mixed format, which allowed to unite participants from all over Ukraine.

The focus was on special conditions and current trends in practical aspects, prevention strategies, hypo- and hyperthyroidism, autoimmune thyroid lesions, thyroid disorders in children, cytological diagnostics, as well as the role of trace elements and vitamins in maintaining the health of the endocrine system, the issue of evidence-based phytotherapy in a comprehensive approach to the treatment of thyroid diseases.

Important attention was paid to the topic of autoimmune polyglandular syndrome (APS) – a complex multisystem pathology, which today has become a new challenge for endocrinologists. It is no coincidence that the 21st century was called the “century of autoimmune diseases” by the WHO.
