December 4, 2010 in Khmel'nickiy there was held the Regional scientific and practical seminar «Branch program conception of development of the system of granting medical care to children and modern problems of paediatrics in the region». The organizers of the seminar were UMOH, Health care Department of Khmel'nickiy and the Medical college of Khmel'nickiy. The participants of the seminar were greeted by prof. Volosovets, C.M., the Head of the Education and Science Department of UMOH and Svestun N.V., the Head of the Health Department of Khmel'nickiy region.

Over 300 practitioners, family doctors and paediatricians, took part in the seminar.

The program report «Branch program conception of development of the system of granting medical care to children and modern problems of paediatrics in the region» was done by prof. Volosovets O.P. CM of NAMN.

The doctors listened attentively to the academic reports done by the leading professionals of the branch. Among them there were prof. Abaturov O.E. (State Dnepro Medical Academy ) with the report “Flu of children: the issues of epidemiology, diagnosis and prophylactics”, prof. Krivopustov S.P. (National Medical University named after Bogomolets O.O.) with the report “The respiratory infections of children: acute rhinitis, acute tonsillo-pharyngitis, acute sinusitis, acute otitis media, acute bronchitis”, prof. Volosovets O.P, C.M. Of NAMN (National medical University named after O.O.Bogomolets) with the report “Pneumonia of children: modern views on its etiology, classification, differentiation diagnosis, doctor's tactics ”, prof. Beketova G.V. (National medical academy of the post-graduate studies named after Shupik) with the report “Diarrhea associated with Antibiotics: the ways to solve the problem while treating respiratory infections of children ” , prof. Yulish E.I. (Donetsk medical university named after M.Gorky ) with the report “Intracellular infections as the issue of the day in pulmonology of children” .

Audience paid special attention to the master-class called “Antibiotics in paediatrics practice – reflection of a clinicist at the bed of a sick child suffering acute respiratory tract disease ” done by Krivopustov S.P. (National medical university named after Bogomolets O.O.) There was a discussion on the latest problems in providing medical assistance to the children in the region.

The lecturers answered a number of questions asked by the audience.
