On May 20-21, the traditional spring scientific and practical conference “Inflammatory and allergic diseases of upper respiratory tract” was held in sanatorium “Miskhor” (Crimea) Megacom Ltd introduced to the participants of the conference both known to otolaryngologists products such as Neurovitan, Trifed syrup and expectorant, oral cephalosporin antibiotics Lexin and Cefutil and newly appeared in Ukraine oral cephalosporin Cefodox.

In the course of the conference there were highlighted different issues of otolaryngology. Particular interest of the physicians from all over Ukraine was aroused by the report “Use of Cefodox in the treatment of diseases of upper respiratory tract” made by prof. Mitin Yuriy Vladimirovich, Chairman of the Department of Otolaryngology of National Medical University named after Bogomolets A.A., in which the author shared his personal experience of prescribing Cefodox.

“For every nosologic unit the normalization of clinical picture in patients received Cefodox occurred on time or within the period corresponding to recovery period of the patients of control group (received ceftriaxon 1.0 g twice a day) or within much shorter period” - Yuriy Vladimirovich summarized his report.
